Personal Statement
My name is Addison Goodrich and I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old. Softball has always been a great passion of mine. When I started playing, I never thought I would fall in love with the game, but I did. I started my first travel league softball team when I was 8 years old where I started playing shortstop and my position stuck with me ever since. I just finished my Sophomore year at Fieldcrest High School where I have started varsity both years, both batting and playing the field. I am currently playing 2nd base with my High School Team and I play for a travel ball summer league called the Minonk Crush in which I play shortstop. Besides my softball career, my academics are very outstanding. I currently have a 4.00/4.00 GPA, I have received high honors for 9 years in a row, and I am currently ranked #1 in my class. My goal is to finish top 3 by the time I graduate from Fieldcrest. I am also involved in so many other activities in which I am still able to achieve my academic goals and find success in my softball career. I am hoping I can find the perfect school to meet both my academic and softball goals. Ever since I was a little girl, I always watched the NCAA softball tournament and that's when I knew I had to play college softball. The energy and enthusiasm on that field is what I've always dreamed of being apart of and I hope some day I get that opportunity.
