Personal Statement
My name is Madison Tjaden, and I'm currently 17 years old from a town of 2,500 people in Central Illinois known as Minonk. I have been playing summer travel ball for the Minonk Crush for 8 years now. Something that I've found out from playing many years/seasons of sports is that your attitude is something that will carry you a long way. I'm that one girl on the team that will keep everyone's attitudes up no matter if we are winning or losing. It doesn't matter what I have to do to get them up and going, but I always seem to get everyone to laugh. The one thing that I love about softball is that you can have fun and also be serious about the game at the same time. I've gotten something called the Knight Pride award that has been given away by our coaches at our sports banquets now 2 times for basketball and softball. Not only do I play softball, but I also participate in golf, basketball and I was on the schools dance team for my first 2 years of high school and we were state champions both years in class 1a kick and poms categories for TDI (team dance illinois) and IDTA (illinois dance team association). After reading this you may come to the conclusion that I'm a very competitive athlete and that I enjoy playing sports very much.
