Academic excellence is something that is and will continue to be the top priority for me as I pursue collegiate opportunities. But in addition to my studies, I have developed a passion for playing softball and I would be immeasurably lucky if I could continue to play and develop my softball abilities while in college. As the child of dual military parents, I have had to move many times in my life and each move means starting over in a new town. Softball has allowed me the opportunity to find a community that accepts me immediately based on our mutual love of our sport, and my experiences with my teams, high school and club, have always made me feel like I belong and am home, no matter where I live. I know that the transition to college, away from my family, will be so much easier once I find my "team", and that is why pursuing softball in college is such an important part of my collegiate aspirations. My experiences as a military child have shown me that it is important to stay positive, flexible, independent, and supportive of all of the people you meet, and these traits, along with an emphasis on my studies, and continued softball improvement through hard work and practice, make me a great candidate.
