Jordan Melville '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jordan Melville, I am 16 years old and I am entering my junior year at Oregon High School in Oregon, IL. I am 5'6, 125lbs. I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old and have been pitching since I was 10. I have been playing competitive travel softball in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa since I was 13. I played varsity half of my freshman year and was the #1 varsity starting pitcher during my sophomore year where I had a 14-4 record with a 1.78 era. My sophomore year I was all conference and honorable mention all-area. I won the OHS Softball Most-Improved award my sophomore year and won the OHS Gold Glove Award my freshman year. I have also played volleyball since 7th grade and was the captain of the team my freshman year. My GPA is 3.0 and I will be taking the ACT this year. I was nominated by my Biology teacher to be "OHS Student of the Quarter". I want to play softball in college but am not yet set on which level I can or will play at. I would prefer to attend a school in the Midwest where I would like to major in Athletic Training. I have worked very hard the last few years to improve my game and am going to continue working hard to succeed on the field and in the classroom at the next level.
