Softball has been my passion and a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, although I am a multi-sport athlete. I am known for my good eye offensively, exceptional/consistent fielding, & for my base-running speed and am the lead-off. I had no strikeouts last season per my coach. In addition to my softball awards such as TRAC 1st team All-Conference and First Team All BCR, I was All-Conference for Cross-Country last season as well. In 2015, I was 2nd at Nationals in South Dakota in tumbling. In 7th grade track, I even had the fastest qualifying time in our entire state (IL) in 100M to go to the IESA IL State Track meet. I run & train year-round and am fortunate enough to continue to additionally participate in hs track simultaneously with my HS softball, to keep elevating my softball base-running speed.
Ever since I was little, I have loved the passion and strategy and excitement involved in softball. I am always learning and improving so that I can become a better softball player in every aspect of the game. I am a “do-er” and believe in quietly leading by example such as showing up early, setting a good example, being respectful, having pride in what I do, and in staying late. I daily look to God for my inspiration. I make sure to always give my best 101% on and off of the field, and try to be the greatest teammate I can be through empathy, leadership & by supporting & encouraging others with kindness.
It would be a great honor and a dream come true to continue to play softball at the collegiate level while advancing my education and being a role model for younger girls.
Thank you so very much for reading this and for considering me. I will be a choice that will make you proud of your decision to pick me.
Please call my coaches any time. They continually tell me they welcome the opportunity to speak with you regarding my softball abilities and character. Academically, I am confident that I will follow in my older brother’s footsteps and achieve above a 1400 on my SAT exam. I study daily for this test as I understand its significance&high importance of academic excellence.
Thank you again,
Junior at Princeton High School-Princeton, IL
