During the spring of 2012, when I was 7 years old, I found myself standing in the sandy infield beside my new teammates. Little did I know that I had just set myself up for new opportunities, learning different skills, and meeting amazing people. Then the day came where I threw my first pitch, and I instantly fell in love with the game. As some seasons went by, I finally had the opportunity to play on a part-time travel team with a group of older girls who I looked up to and learned from. Being surrounded by them had pushed me to be my absolute best. Once I joined my first full-time travel team, my devotion to the game grew tremendously. It was the most amazing feeling playing against talented teams at a more high paced level. Being surrounded by my teammates and coaches has always motivated me, not just to want to become better, but to improve with every play, pitch, or at-bat I had gotten. When I think about going to college, softball is always a part of it. I would like to position myself so that I can attend a school with a good business program and, of course, play competitive softball. This year, I will enter my sophomore year, so I have three years of school left, but I am looking forward to exploring my options and finding the perfect school that is the best fit for me and my dreams.
