I am 5'10 and 125 pounds. I am currently 17 years old and a junior in High School. My goal is to be a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, it has been my dream since I was 7 years old. As a freshman I was a a varsity pitcher for my high school team, ending with 4 wins. Sophomore year I was placed on JV due to an elbow injury and was a second baseman and a team captin. I was selected by both my team and coaches to be captain. I have been a travel ball player since I was 8. That injury got worse and I did end up having surgery the summer going into my junior year and am currently working my way back to normal.Throughout the years coaches have always said I am a fast learner and a dedicated player. I have always been told that I am a versatile player and reliable in pressure situations. My dream has always been to attend a big well known school away from home, preferably southeast of Hobart. thinking about college I have always dreamed of playing softball and being the center of attention to the fans and an idol to younger player. I tend to do better when there's competition and working my way up, so I would be fine with not being given a spot as a starting pitcher in college therefore I have something to work for and would have a greater feeling of accomplishment if I earned the spot when was overlooked as a starter. I believe compeition is good and can only make you a stronger player. My family does apply for FAFSA.
