Personal Statement
When I started in t-ball as little kid, I never imagined I’d be here thinking about playing softball at the collegiate level. My parents signed me up for something fun to do, and I kept saying yes each year. Now, I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else. I would be a good candidate for collegiate softball because I know what it means to work hard, be a member of a team, and have fun. While I am focused on improving myself through year-round playing and practicing, I am also focused on helping my teammates be better and cheering them on when they reach new milestones. Whether I’m hitting, playing middle infield, pitching, or sitting the bench, I am rooting for my teammates to do their best. Because when everyone is doing their best and reaching their goals, our team is at its best. In school, I maintain good grades; my favorite subjects are biology-related classes. Aside from playing college softball, I hope to become a physician’s assistant one day with a focus on orthopedics. This sport has taught me a lot about myself, and I look forward to continue learning and growing as a person and in this sport.
