Personal Statement
Softball has always been a part of my life, ever since I was five years old. From the moment I gripped a bat, or even stepped on the diamond I knew it was my true calling. I have always pushed myself to be the best that I can be, and I am almost successful with my proceedings. For no one can truly achieve perfection, but I intend to try.
I am a 15 year old girl playing for an 18u travel ball team. I am the youngest one, but I still hold a valuable place on the team; the 2nd basemen. My coach gave me an offer to play up and I took it without hesitation. I knew it would be difficult for me to keep up with the older girls, but I liked the challenge.
I am a freshman this year, and I believe that no one is ever too young, nor too old to start looking for a college. My ideal college would be one with a performing arts program, somewhere along the lines of script writing, directing or producing. I am able to balance my sports and academics in a well-rounded manner. I am willing to put my all into the college that I choose.
My hitting coach, Brent Bowers, is always telling me that he believes that I have something special, and will continue to do great things in high school and college. Some of my most received awards are pride and hustle. I have never been told to hustle to my position. I am always striving to make myself better, and will do anything it takes to achieve greatness.
