Alyssa Todd '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach! My name is Alyssa Todd and I am graduating from Lake Central High School in 2020. One thing I am passionate about is softball.  I started playing tee-ball when I was in preschool. I played rec-ball for seven years. I then decided I wanted to play college ball and  moved to travel ball in 2014. I started catching when I was 8-years-old, when my team did not have a catcher I stepped up. I fell in love with catching ever since and I am now currently one of the catchers on my travel ball team. Being in the sport has inspired me to be better each and every day by reminding me that if I do not better myself I am not just hurting myself, but also the team. Playing softball has helped me realize that sometimes you need to do whatever is best for a team. It has also taught me when to step up in certain situations when nobody else will step up. Another sport that I am involved in is swimming. I started swim club when I was in second grade because I could swim better than most kids my age. I stuck with club swimming through elementary school to middle school and now I am currently swimming for my high school team. My goals for college is to go somewhere that will academically challenge me and to major in English or graphic design.
