Personal Statement
I pride myself in working hard at getting good grades with a 3.8 GPA as a junior in high school. I am a two-sport athlete lettering in softball my 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade years and basketball as a freshman, sophomore and junior. I pitch two times a week starting in November and increase it to three nights a week before my summer high school softball season starts. I work very hard at pitching and am always wanting to learn. I give over 100% to the teams that I play on whether it be basketball or softball.
My softball team made it to the regional finals my freshman and sophomore years and this year we were able to make it to the state tournament where we finished 4th and I made the All-Tournament Team for Class 2A.
As this is my last year of high school, I am looking forward to visiting colleges to see how I would fit in their programs as a pitcher. My major is still undecided but I am looking at nursing or elementary education.
