Hi, my name is Katrina Hinojosa. I’m a high school freshman and catcher for the KC Premier out of Paola, Kansas.
I strive for excellence in everything I do. I always give 100% effort, on and off the field. I do weights, cardio and agility work outside of softball practice. I can bench press 175 pounds, squat 340, and am working to improve both of those numbers.
Softball is my passion. I love to learn it, play it, and teach it. With our club’s 14U team, I work one-on-one with our catchers to help them improve their skills behind the plate. I also am an assistant coach on this team. I watch the opposing batter’s swing, locate their weaknesses, and call pitches accordingly. I do this from behind the plate on our 16U team.
On the academic and extracurricular side of things, I have a 4.0 GPA, both in high school and the classes I take for dual-credit at Johnson County Community College. I scored a composite score of 25 on the ACT test as a freshman, am the Vice President of my 4-H Club, volunteer at my church’s special needs ministry, and have a seasonal job at the Louisburg Cider Mill. Life is busy, but I love every minute of it. I hope that you see me as someone who can be a leader on your team.
