Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
Let me start off by telling you who I am; my name is Kaitlyn Faith Dobbs. I have been adopted into an amazing family since the age of two. Being adopted into a family has opened such great opportunities for me, but it has not been easy. I have been athletic my whole life. If you were to seek me, you could easily find me playing any sport from the field to the basketball courts. Most people say I am quite the athlete, I just allow my skills to do the talking therefore staying active is a must for me. Being involved in sports since the age of four has inspired me to become a successful athlete. The following activities that I have been involved with for 13 years are: Volleyball, front row attacker; Basketball, point guard, shooting guard; Track and Field, sprinter, long jump and javelin; Softball, third base, short stop and center field. Sports as well as staying active are the only activities I have ever been able to rely on, they have kept me out of the troubles other teenagers encounter. People look up to athletes as role models showing their leadership skills and that is what has motivated me most.
My future plans are to attend college for athletic sports training and sports management while playing softball. I want to continue my athletic ability to become the best athlete can be through out my life but also help others. I will be working to get a physical educational degree for certain activities and local schools. After that is all settled and done, I seek to coach my own softball team if all else fails any other team.
Sincerely, Kaitlyn F. Dobbs
