Since I was a young girl, I have always loved playing softball. My Dad who is my biggest influence, he never gave up on me even when I pushed back or stubborn headed. I was 8 years old when I became interested in Softball, my parents signed me through the Winfield Recreation Center. At that point, I had no clue what was expected since the only sport I had ever played at that time was youth recreation soccer. For the last 8 years, I struggled with my confidence. It affected my ability to perform at times and one day I told myself I would never allow my confidence to affect me in that way. Softball has taught me how to become more confident with myself, helped me find my voice, how to be a team player and never give up in all areas in my life. My academic goals right now are for me to have good grades and take college courses to advance me to my dream of being an occupational therapist. In college, I hope to have a softball scholarship to help me get the best education for my degree. I love building others up and encouraging others. I enjoy making my teammates laugh when they have had a bad day or play during the game.
