Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Julie, I live with both my parents and my younger brother. I spend most of my time playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. I have played varsity in all three this year. I also participate in theater and enjoy reading in my spare time. I have been playing varsity softball for 4 years now, ever since I was a 7th grader and I hope to play in college. My average fastball is 55 mph, I have several different pitches including fastball, screwball, change up, curve ball, and drop ball. I take pitching lessons once a week at BSA Softball from Kim Borders (Campbellsville Pitching Coach) and she has taught me to put my heart and soul into everything I do. I am learning the rise ball and trying to perfect my screwball, my plan is to gain 1-2 mph every year. I am a 2025 graduate and plan on being in the upper 50s when I graduate high school. My travel team, Western Kentucky Wildfire, recently played in a World Series Tournament in Panama, Florida. We won 2nd place and until the championship we were undefeated. Playing several sports at a time has made me very competitive and I strive to be the best I can be.
