Personal Statement
My name is Emma Soule. I am a junior at Hall-Dale High School where I am a three sport athlete. I have started on my schools Varsity Field Hockey and Varsity Softball teams since my freshman year. My freshman year, I was second team all conference for softball. I wish to continue my softball career into college. I would like to pursue Pre-Law and later become a lawyer. While choosing a school for sports is important, academics come first. Schools that meet my academic goals are top priority.
Due to my schools lack of athletes, I have had to been a leader on my school’s field hockey team since my freshman year. I had to step into a big role on the field freshman year where I started every game. I became a captain my junior year where I lead a big class of freshmen. Field hockey has given me an opportunity to develop leadership skills which has carried over into softball. This year, I have had to step into a leadership role for my schools softball team as well. Due to covid and missing last season, many athletes have chosen not to come out, leaving a lack of upperclassman. I have stepped into a leadership role with only one year on the team. My 10 years of softball experience and 7 years on a travel team have given me the skills I need to be a leader. I was able to help lead them to an undefeated season and a Class C State Championship.
