Personal Statement
My name is Laurna Heathcott and I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old. Softball has become one of the biggest parts of my life and has shaped me into the person I am today. I set many goals for myself each season, but one of my long-term goals is to play softball at the college level. I believe with my skills and drive for success that my goal can come true. I am very passionate about softball, am always wanting to learn more about the game and am always trying to get better each day. I am a great team player and truly believe that when I am playing softball, I am not only playing for myself, but also for my teammates. I always try to cheer the loudest and always run on and off the field with a smile on my face. I believe playing softball is privilege. I am proud to be a student-athlete and recognize the importance of academics. I take academics very seriously and am proud to a be member of the National Honor Society.
