I am currently junior at Sherwood High school, Montgomery County, Maryland. Im 5'7", 155lbs. I'm very strong and athletic and I love playing sports and being a part of the team culture. My team won the state 4A softball championship last year and we look forward to continuing the roll next year. My workout routine consists of 2 hrs daily practice for either basketball or softball and one hour of weight room work. I bench 105 lbs for 10 reps, squat 185 lbs for 10 reps, and dead lift 225 for 6-8 reps, each for min of 3 sets. I love to workout and train my body. I have a routine of bananas, granola, and protein powder for breakfast and before bed. I eat a healthy lunch at school that I make at home , and have full courses of dinner with my family each night.
My High School, Sherwood Warriors, team was ranked as the National team of the decade. This season I will be starting at Catcher or CF. During last season I batted a very high percentage, playing in every game and only striking out 2 or 3 times for the whole season. I hit 14 home runs and had well over 35 RBIs. Although the statistics were exciting to compile, culminating the year on the varsity team winning the state 4a championship was the most exciting accomplishment. This was a great experience and honor to be a part of the run and I'm looking forward to continuing the momentum into next year. This past summer I pushed my training hard by playing travel softball with the Maryland Heat Elite 16U, in 16 games my batting average was .395, OBP .435, SLG .558, OPS.993. This coming spring season we have 6 to 8 tournaments scheduled and many of them will be college showcase style tournaments for exposure to college coaches and recruiters. I am looking forward to this springl even though my course load will be heavy and my athletic level will be equally has heavy. I think this sets a good standard to get me ready for the life of a college athlete, so I'm ready for the challenge. I have set a goal of being a leader on the varsity softball team next spring and I know it is a great possibility if I continue to push myself in my training.
My training for sports is only equaled by my academic training. I accept the challenge of all AP and honors courses throughout my high school career. I know sports at some point will be a thing of my past that only heightened my enjoyment of my path toward my life long career path. I want to find a college to play the sports I love at a high level along with achieving the same level of academic advancement.
