Personal Statement
I am a hardworking individual, on and off the field. I have been playing softball since before I can remember. It started when my father signed me up in Kindergarten and since then, every year, I have devoted my spring/early summer to softball. With little professional training besides a Nike sports camp in 2017, I have come a long way through self teaching. My freshman into sophomore year, I broke my right collarbone twice, leading me to believe I would never be able to pitch again due to shoulder stress. Last season (2018) I had a record of over 1,100 in play pitches alone, not counting every practice pitch, every warm up of that season. I bounced back better than anyone would have imagined. Even living on my own, working a full time job, and keeping my grades up my senior year, I am committed to being the head captain and lead pitcher for the varsity team at my school. I promised my father I would take my abilities and passion into college and when I set my mind to something, it gets achieved.
