Personal Statement
Being on a softball field has always felt like home to me. I started playing softball when I was eight years old and I have never doubted or questioned my love of the game. I am a two-sport athlete, in addition to softball, I play junior varsity volleyball for my school. What has always set me apart is my drive to work hard and my resilience. When faced with adversity, I push myself to excel. I know that making mistakes is how you grow and get better. So I never play timid, in fear of making a mistake. I maintain a positive attitude on the field, lead by example, encourage my teammates and always give my best effort.
My goal is to continue to strive for academic excellence throughout my high school career. I finished my sophomore year strong, with a 4.08 GPA, and proudly earned membership in the National Honor Society. My athletic goals are to continue to work hard at developing my skills as an elite softball player. I hope to ultimately help my team win a state championship. My goal for the future is to play softball competitively at a university I love, while pursuing my education.
