- I don't remember a time when I didn't spend my spring and summer at a baseball or softball field. My family has been involved with our local little league for over ten years and this is where I started throwing a softball at age 4. I have played Little League, School Club and/or Travel Softball since I was 5. In that time, I have learned many things about myself through softball. One of which is that I am highly competitive. Another thing I have learned about myself is that when I set a goal I will not stop until I reach it. For a few seasons, I was thought of as the "number two pitcher" at the beginning of the season. However, I worked hard through consistent performance and calm under pressure to become the go-to pitcher in each of the seasons. Something that sets me apart is my quiet determination. I am able to keep my emotions in check and get the job done. This characteristic has helped me on the field as well in the classroom. My academic goals are to graduate in the top ten in my class and pursue a degree in engineering.
