Personal Statement
When I was young, I always had a passion for playing softball. Through many committed hours of practice and games it has became a goal of mine to play at the collegiate level. This is currently my third season playing competitive softball for Ann Arbor Gold out of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In college I would like to earn my degree in the medical field doing ultra sound, or possibly nursing. In High School I am part of our student leadership class and student council where we are continuously helping others through community service and working with younger students to grow them to become leaders. Through this experience I have learned that I really enjoy working with others of all ages and needs. This is what has made me choose to go into the health science field.
On the field, often I am in the leadership role, and assisting in keeping our teams positive by encouraging them to keep working hard. Throughout the years I have been played and coached in many different positions. For our High School team, I primarily am the catcher and first at bat. On the travel team I play second, short stop, left field and first at bat due to my quickness. Off season I play volleyball, and basketball which helps to keep me in good physical condition for the season. In between sports seasons and in the summer months, I spend time weekly in the weight rooms conditioning.
