Personal Statement

It all started when I was 10 years old, my best friend played softball so I never got to hang out with her. I decided to start playing also and I never looked back. My love for the sport grew and grew as the years went on. Fast forward to middle school, I got bullied quite a bit and softball was my escape, it kept me going. Softball has shaped me into the person I am today. As I got older I have learned to apply the same dedication, drive, work-ethic, patience, and commitment I have for softball to every aspect of my life. Through softball I have learned a lot about myself, I never knew I was capable of being a leader and helping others as much as I have. I am a team player, on that field it isn’t about any one individual, everything I do is for my team. Wherever you put me in the field I will perform, I will put in 110% effort no matter what. The love I have for the sport has made me push myself and strive to be an all around the field player.

My goals for high school are to bring up my grades even more; I’m shooting for the A honor roll. I also want to use the time I have left in high school to improve my athletic abilities and continue to grow mentally and physically. Through college I want to become a teacher or an athletic trainer. I want to be a teacher so I can help kids to be the change they want to see in the world. Also, more than anything I would love to coach softball, I know how much I respect and appreciate the coaches who made me fall in love with softball and who helped mold me into the person and player I am today, and to be that in someone else’s life would be the greatest feeling imaginable.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
