I am Macy Hanks. I attend Mounds View High School in Arden Hills, Minnesota. I've always had a goal to play college softball and as I got older and continued progressing that goal became more and more realistic. I'm a good leader and a well rounded, versatile fielder. I'm coachable which has helped me become a good utility player and has strengthened my ability to learn new positions quickly. With the ability to adapt, I played on B-squad and Varsity my freshman year switching frequently between both. My sophomore year I played JV, B-sqaud and Varsity. A staring 3rd baseman and for B-squad and JV as well as a pinch runner and first baseman for Varsity. Varsity was a long time goal for me and it was extremely rewarding to feel two years of hard work pay off. When I set goals I achieve them. If I set my mind to something it gets done and I accomplish it well. Honesty and integrity are very large factors in how I live my life and I bring that to every opportunity I face. I believe that positive attitudes and energy, along with skill and mental competitiveness wins ball games. I work hard on and off the field. School is a big priority for me. Without school there is no softball. I am a valuable asset both athletically and mentally. Bringing speed and strength along with positive energy and drive. I'm looking forward at years to come and I am very excited to continue on this journey.
