Personal Statement

My collegiate goals are finding a school that is not only a good fit for me academically but also athletically.  I would like to major in Sports Medicine and minor in Business so I can be an Athletic Trainer and/or a Physical Therapist. I would like to be able to help injured players get back to playing their sport as soon as possible and help the with the healing process, such as, finding the best fit for them so they can heal stronger and avoid repeating the injury.  One of my biggest aspirations is to play college softball then having my kids be interested in sports and helping them get to the highest level of the sport of their choice. Watching them succeed in something they love, along with teaching them that their education is their most important goal, will be extremely rewarding.

I believe I am a good candidate for any team because i'm a team player.  In my eyes my teammates are some of the most important people in my life. They are basically like family. I will be there for them if they need help with something, softball related or not, or if they just need someone to give them a pick me up. I want to learn as much as possible from all of my teachers and coaches because I know they want the best for me, and expect the best from me. I want to be the best person I can and I know they'll be the ones to help me get there. I give one hundred and ten percent best in every game, every inning, every play. If you're not willing to give your best you will not be able to achieve your goals.

What make's me different from others is I know when its time to buckle down and be serious vs when it's okay to be easy going. I know that practice isn't just for going through the motions and is not to be taken lightly.  Every practice, game , and play is a chance to get better and improve. I put in as much work on the field as I do my academics.  School is very important and playing sports helps me push myself to do better academically because I know if my grades are not up to par I wouldn't be able to play the sport I love.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
