Personal Statement
My name is Ariandra Vargas; I am a sophomore at San Pasqual High School located in Escondido, CA. Ever since I started travel softball, I’ve wanted to play in college. Softball has already offered me so many incredible opportunities and has connected me with fantastic coaches and players who I look up to as role models. I am willing to put whatever it takes to become the best softball player I’m capable of being. My biggest strength in softball is my power, thanks to The Next Level, I can throw harder, run faster, hit farther. Another advantage I have is, I’m coachable if a coach asks me to jump I say how high coach? What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to go to the field and the last to leave.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are vast. I am very open to going anywhere. I am open minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play softball, I will be happy. My top choice for a major as of right now is earth science focusing on geology. However, my major may change over the course of the rest of my high school career.
I believe that the only way to get better at something is by challenging and pushing yourself to the limit. Softball is not an easy game. It’s a game of precision, timing, and focus. This is why I find softball so appealing.
