Addison Purvis '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi,

My name is Addison Purvis, and I am very interested in playing softball when I go to college.  I am a hard working athlete, and I love the game.  As a pitcher, I enjoy the pressure and responsibility that comes with that position. 

I have a strong work ethic because there are things that I want to accomplish, and college softball is one of them.  I work very hard in perfecting my game by practicing running, pitching, and hitting at least 4 to 5 days a week.  My coach is my father, and he has instilled this work ethic in me.  He is always pushing me to help me to accomplish what I want to do.  I should mention that this also includes my school work.  He has taught me that my classroom accomplishments are of most importance if I want to be a true student athlete.

I am looking forward to playing in college because most of those girls have the same work ethic as I do, or they wouldn’t be there.  I am looking for coaches that push their girls and want them to be better.  I am also looking for coaches that treat their girls fairly and create a family atmosphere.  I want a program that is dedicated to its athletes and shows a strong commitment to its players, and one that expects that same commitment in return.
