Personal Statement

What are your collegiate goals and aspirations?

My goals to achieve in college are simple. I will push myself to be better and test my strengths. I have aspirations to succeed in both college and softball. I will strive to reach my full potential while learning more about myself and my abilities.

What makes you a good candidate for the team?

I am a good candidate for this team because I am a hard worker, I am a team player, and I also love making new friends. I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and try new things.

What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics?

I really enjoy learning new things in both school and softball. Some people get upset when they fail, but I always make it a learning experience to fix and improve on my failures. I always hear the motto “Failure Is The Pillar of Success” - Soichiro Honda or “Take Chances, Make Mistakes. That's How You Grow.” - Mary Tyler Moore. I consider myself passionate about both school and softball. I take both seriously, but also like to have fun. I am a kind and caring person when it comes to people and love to make them happy. I am very responsible; I am able to get my schoolwork finished and have time for softball practices, lessons, and other extracurricular activities all while maintaining good grades. I made the high school all-academic team three years in a row. I have learned exceptional time management skills between softball, school, work, and clubs. This past summer I was involved in the Leadership Academy of Washington, which is a leadership program where select students go to local businesses and learn how they used their leadership skills to boost their careers and apply it to their everyday lives. I am currently in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) club, we support less fortunate families through a local church.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
