Kelli Koehler '13 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for viewing my NCSA profile. I am 17 years old, ranked 5th in my class and will graduate from Weaubleau High School in 2013. Weaubleau is a small Missouri Class 1 rural school district with 350 students. My passion is softball, however I am also a varsity basketball starter. My senior year will consist of softball, cross-country and basketball. I have been a varsity starter for our softball team my first 3 years of high school. 2 years at 3rd base which I received All State recognition for and 1 year as shortstop which I also received All State recognition for. My experiences playing competitive travel ball during the summers have helped me gain the skills needed to be a team leader defensively on the field and at the plate. In 2010 my travel team won a USSSA World Series and I was selected as the Overall World Series MVP. My speed has been a big asset, that along with my ability to switch hit has helped me be a team leader in hits, stolen bases and runs scored. My current time to 1st base from the left box is 2.77 and from the right box 2.91. In 2010 I was entered into the MSHSAA records for the most at bats in an inning and the most triples in a game. My career interest is Elementary Education. It would be great to one day teach and be able to coach softball too. I hope to find a college that will allow me to spend as much time on the field as possible. I am willing to work hard to earn a spot on the roster. As for size and location of colleges, I am very open. I do hope that it is into a program where I can quickly find my way onto the field to help our team continue their winning traditions.
