Personal Statement
I try to be involved in everything I can. Of course I play softball, but I also play basketball. Softball and basketball sometimes seem to work together. In one sport I might pick up a skill that will help with the other sport. Like in basketball it's really important to be verbal and talk with your teammates. As a catcher, that's a very important skill that I need so I can lead my team in the right direction and keep their energy up. I'm also in other extra curricular activities other than sports.
I am an active member in our FCCLA club at our school. I currently hold a chapter officer position at my school and am running for a regional position. I'm in our FCCLA entrepreneurship class. We create projects which we compete with at a region, state, and national level. They are called STAR events and are made to better our school and community. We create a speech and portfolio for our presentation. I am also in pep club. Pep club is a big thing at my school. We support everyone. You name a sport and we're there cheering the team on.
All of the sports and clubs I am in have had an impact on the player I am today. Basketball has taught me hard work and dedication is going to get you where you want to be. Softball has taught me that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. FCCLA has taught me that I can be a leader on and off the field. Finally pep club has taught me to always cheer for my teammates especially when they're having a rough time.
