Personal Statement
I'm Tara Melassi, I'm a 5'5 tall Italian softball player. I'm a hard worker who gives the 120% inside and outside the field. I started my career in baseball when I was 7 and I moved to softball at 14. At 15 I changed team and I played my first season in the ISL (Italian Softball League) as second baseman. Since there I always played all the championships that I could as Shortstop, second baseman or third baseman.
My best accomplishments are the participation at the European cup with the national team u16, where I played Second baseman, and the u21 final four played in 2016 where I played as second baseman and shortstop.
I want to attend an American college to play my favorite sport and study what really passionates me without quitting one of them. I'm a very determined girl and I do my best to have an amazing career in both.
I don't have any issues about what college attend, I'm very open about it, I mainly am looking at west coast states ( Washington, Montana, Arizona, California, etc.) but I am very available to going anywhere.
My life goal is to become an international accountant, with my own office, while my realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competition level, participate to the Olympic Games, and to make an impact on the team and little girls. Knowing at the end of the day that I made a difference and tried my hardest would keep a smile on my face.
