I am RaeAnn Hartwig, and I am currently the varsity catcher for the Freeman softball team. I am a junior at Freeman High School in Adams, NE where I maintain a 4.0 GPA and will graduate in the class of 2020.
I have been involved in softball since I was six years old. Due to my summer and high school coaches I have fallen more in love with softball and desire to play at the collegiate level.
While being a varsity starter since freshman year, I feel as if I have developed strong leadership skills to encourage and motivate my teammates to continuously improve. Although I may not be built like most catchers, I do possess different characteristics that others may not have to offer. Due to my dedication and desire for softball, I stay active all year round by going to personal workouts and lifting weights during the off season.
I am very passionate about entering the medical field after finishing high school. As of now, I am thinking about majoring in sports medicine where I hope to become a physical therapist.
My goal is to continue to compete at the collegiate level and major in the medical field but am currently open to whatever opportunities come my way.
