Sonny Sowles '23 Recruiting Profile

I began my softball career at the age of 7, playing for Optimist ball clubs. From day one, I found a passion for the game and a dedication to my team and myself in this sport. I fight every season to be better than the season before, and through my perseverance I accomplished Varsity status as a freshman and continuing. I have built myself to be a multi-faceted player, usually filling the roles of catcher or center/left field. I have also played as an infielder. I enjoy showing those who say "you can't" that I can, and this is evidenced by my school career also including that I was the first Female wrestler to attend Girl's State Wrestling for Minden High School. 

I aspire to become and Orthopedic Surgeon, and to focus on sports injuries. I have had a fascination with orthopedics from a very early age. I push myself to succeed academically, athletically, and socially.
