Placing runner up at the 2017 Nebraska state tournament was a defining weekend in my softball career. Not placing first was a huge disappointment but also an eye opening learning experience. I realized that being a leader and a supportive teammate is just as important as performing well individually. This experience has helped me refocus and work even harder to accomplish my softballs goals.
I would love to earn an opportunity to be a student athlete, and continue playing softball as long as I can. I do however understand that my academics are the most important focus going forward, and as I continue to work hard on becoming a better softball athlete, balance between the two have never been more important.
Competing, learning, and developing relationships, all with coaches and teammates at a collage that is a good personal fit, is a dream of mine and I’m ready to work hard for that dream.
I believe that I have what it takes to be a strong teammate and leader on your team!
