Aspyn Harrison '20 Recruiting Profile

I thought taking home the runner-up trophy from state as a Rocket when I was twelve was the highlight of my softball career, then my team and I took home the runner-up trophy from state as Bullets when I was fourteen. Now the highlight of my softball career, as a sophomore, is getting runner-up at districts as the starting pitcher on my high school varsity team. This is the first year this high school softball team has had a winning season since 2004. It is also the first time ever this high school team made it to the district final. Bonding with my teammates through the district tournament and keeping our winning streak was an unforgettable experience, I was very fortunate to be part of all of these teams.

I knew I wanted to play college softball when I was twelve and the summer season was over I wanted nothing more than to throw the ball one more time. I am so committed to softball, even in the off season, I am up at the field pitching and practicing. I've been told by my coaches I'm a very coachable athlete and I do my best to fix my mistakes and never make them again. I never want to quit playing the sport I'm so passionate about, and am committed to continuing to improve so I'm ready to play at the college level. I am dedicated to finding a college that first and foremost fits me academically, but where I can also be an asset to their softball team.
