I am Rachel Sturtevant and I love to play Softball. I am a right-handed Pitcher and I also play center-field.
My freshman year I played for the Gorham High School Varsity team and won the 1st Year Standout Award. This award was created for me by the coaches. Prior to joining the Varsity team I was the Co-captain for the Middle School softball team.
I am on the National Honor Society. I was also on the National Junior Honor Society.
I have a calm demeanor, and I am able to stay focused. By doing my very best I am able to support my team. I believe a team wins by all working together and by doing their very best.
I put my best effort towards achieving good grades and I bring my A-game to the field for practices and games. My goal is to find a school where I continue to do both.
I would like to attend a college where I can major in Pharmacy. This is because I enjoy both math and science. Also because I enjoy working with, and helping people.
In addition to school and softball, I am also an active member of my church. I am an acolyte, and I help serve at our monthly community suppers, bi-annual yard sales, and I also help to clean the church. I believe having this strong foundation has enabled me to stay committed to my goals.
