Hello, I am Leah Shaw from Charlestown, New Hampshire. I have been involved in softball since I was 6 years old. It is my passion. I am a junior at Fall Mountain Regional High School, where I have played for 2 years as a starter on both Varsity and JV teams. In addition to my school team, I also play on the Brattleboro Heat travel team. During the summer on the Brattleboro Heat my team was runner up at the Paul Wilcox Softball Tournament for U16. I play 3rd base but my primary position is pitcher. As a pitcher, moving up to the varsity level was a challenge. I learned quickly that I had to earn my spot and prove myself. It was a grueling process but one that I learned from. I pushed myself harder and practiced more as well. In all it helped me gain more confidence and brought out the leader in me. I like working hard in both softball and in my academics. I do multiple extracurricular activities and would like to attend a school that offers various activities as well. A school that can challenge me and offer a comfortable setting would be great. Somewhere I can make my mark is the place I want to go.
