Anita Hassen '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at Delsea Regional High School. I play all of outfield and sometimes 3rd base. However, I only play 3rd for my travel team, never for high school. I am a lefty slapper and I'm the fastest on both teams. I had the most hits for high school so far and I was counted on to set the bar for our wins. I accomplished 2nd team all conference under a senior and also contributed to my high school team's all south jersey title. Other than softball I do track as well but in the winter only. In track I like to  high jump. I am one of the best in my high school and my personal record in 4'10. I have received two 1st team all conferences.  I have also received 2 metals my sophomore year and 4 this past season. I like to be a team leader and motivate my team to be the best that we can be.  Outside of softball and track, my life revolves around my academics.   I strive to take my competitiveness from the field and put it to my school work. I motivate myself to keep A's and B's because my academics reflect how I play on the field. I have been on the honor roll through high school. I am involved in the step team for 3 years and I became a captain this past year.  I like to believe that I am a loud, outgoing leader, but I like to spend most of my free time to myself because it allows me to focus and figure out what I could do better both on and off the field.  When I'm not working on myself, I hang out with a small group to help me relax from all my hard work.  

I am excited to take what I have learned throughout my life as well as my softball career to the collegiate level.  I  want to be able to push myself even farther with my academics as well.
