Sierra Brown- Bat...Personal Statement
Growing up my mom always told me to strive to my highest potential and never settle for anything. This was a great life lesson because in softball I always push myself to become better in my skills by learning from my mistakes, as well as academics and life. When I was at the ages of 8-9 I was diagnosed with Uveitis and Cataracts of both eyes along with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and every time I signed up for any sports I was turned down because of my conditions. But, I never let that stop me and continued my passion in sports and doing my own research and training to better myself skillfully until I was finally approved by my doctors in participating. Now I use this as my personal evidence of nothing can ever stop me with what I put my mind to no matter how big the obstacle is.
