Personal Statement
In my short years of life I have been fortunate enough to have had wonderful experiences both personally and athletically. I attribute all of my successes to having a strong family support system and dedicated and caring coaches. My love of softball started when I began playing Rec as a third grader. My motivation and work ethic is undeniable. My middle school team and coaches have left a profound imprint in my life. I served as Catcher and as 1 of the 2 Team Captains in my final middle school year. Entering my high school career I maintained steadfast and focused to be on the Varsity Team and I prevailed, I was 1 of 2 starting and Only freshmen on the team. Now finishing my Junior year and entering into my Senior Year I have been the Starting Catcher and an integral member of the team. This year I assisted in leading my team to win the School Sections for the 3rd year in a row, School Conference for the 3rd year in a row, the Union County Championship for the first time since 2003 as well as the NJSIAA Group 1 State Championship for the first time since 2003! Juggling academics and sports is definitely not an easy task but I have risen to the occasion and I manage to do both while maintaining my Academics Honors. I am a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish national Honor Society. I am 1 of only 8 graduating for the class of 2019 enrolled in Roselle Park High School's Prestegious Sci-Tech Program. My drive to be the best version of myself personally, athletically and academically is what helps me to succeed in all I do. There is only room for improvement, failure is never an option!
