Personal Statement
I have dedicated my young life to bettering myself not only on the softball field and in the classroom, but in the world. I intend to become a lawyer in the future due to my love to provide aid for those who do not receive a fair chance. While in college, I want to double major in English and either a History, Communications, Political Science, Anthropology, or Psychology and minor in Spanish. I feel like my majors will prepare me for law school by giving me a diverse outlook and an increase in my desired skill set to further my education. Also, knowing another language is important to me so that I can communicate with others and acquire knowledge about the world I am living in. My extracurricular activities show my interests and how much I help in my community.
I would be a good candidate for your team because I readily accept coaching and any tips that could improve my abilities. My hardworking nature shines through in all level of play, from batting to fielding and pitching. My defense at third base is what I am most proud of in my athletic ability. I feel at home while fielding and my glove has become an extension of my hand. With my academics, I have maintained an above average GPA and I am in the top 5% of my class at a large school. Playing collegiate softball has been a personal goal of mine for as long as I can remember and I would love and appreciate the opportunity.
