Personal Statement
When I was younger my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer; no matter how good or bad her day was she never let it affect her attitude when she saw her grandchildren. She showed me how to leave it all on the field and to not let a bad day affect my playing or my grades. Throughout playing softball I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and leadership. I believe that I not only have the talent and ability to compete at the college level, but the work ethic and leadership skills to make a positive impact on the team. I’m looking for a good program that is not only a fit academically, but athletically as well. From not winning our conference, group, or state, I know what it takes to be a leader on the field to get us there this season. I know what it feels like to lose and I want to do everything in my power to not have to feel that feeling.
