Hi, my name is Tatiana De La Paz and working hard means everything to me. Where I come from, nothing is just handed to you. I had to work hard for everything I have. All my life I just wanted to play softball. To buy my first glove and bat I had to sell water bottles on the side of a highway to raise enough money. I used that bat and glove for almost 5 years relentlessly until I was old enough to get a job and buy myself new and better softball equipment. Softball has always been the most important thing in my life and I want to go very far with it. I am a student before an athlete because excelling in both are just as important for my future athletic career. Before high school, I didn't excel academically but I came to the realization that what good is muscle without brain? From then on I've been working very hard on keeping my GPA above a 3.0 and being the best athlete I could possibly be. I have much room for improvement so I will continue to work hard in everything I do until I am the best.
