My name is Maggie O’Hare and I’ve wanted to play college softball ever since I was a little girl. I have worked really hard to fulfill my dream. I am a pitcher and have been playing travel club ball since I was 10 years old. My high school doesn’t have a softball team, but I was determined to play varsity softball. I made the varsity team of the adjoining high school. My addition to the team from another district required the team to move up in class. We did great. I think I earned the respect of my teammates and their friendship. I earned all league honors as a freshman and then all section honors as a sophomore. I know I will make a great addition to a college team. I will work hard to make the team better. I am relentless in improving my game and I love to practice. I pitch my best under pressure and it drives me to succeed against every hitter I face. The determination I have on the field translates to the classroom where I work extremely hard and have really good grades. I want to attend a school with excellent academics. I’d like to study political science and maybe go on to law school. I love watching college softball and NFL football with my dad and would love a job working in the NFL.
