Hi, I'm Eden! I'm an uncommitted 2025 Slapper Utility with a 3.81/4.0 unweighted GPA and a 35 ACT. I attend the Horace Mann School in New York City, and I play for Batbusters (NJ) 18U Fry. In 2023 I was First Team All-Ivy Prep League at shortstop. I'd like to study literature and philosophy to become an empathic and innovative decision-maker in education, law or justice. I research Homeric oral poetry on a CCIR Humanities Merit Scholarship with Dr. Karolina Sekita, Faculty of Classics, Oxford; I lead Classics Unplugged, rebooting the Great Books to promote equity through empathy, funded by a grant from the Society for Classical Studies; I’ve won the Scholastic Art & Writing, Americans Against Gun Violence, and Humane Education essay prizes; I serve the underserved as a Summer Steps Teaching Fellow and Uplift Writing Mentor; and I fight for change as as Youth Advocacy Fellow at National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta. The big question I care about most deeply is how we can better empathize with and care for each other.
