Personal Statement
I have been playing softball as long as I can remember. It's a part of my life. I have always been told to play for the love of the game and not because I have to play. I truly play because I love the sport, the competition and the comraderie with my teammates. We have traveled all over and competed at Nationals. These have been great experiences and I hope to further those experiences in college. I am looking for a school that will allow me to pursue my dream of playing college softball while at the same time obtain a great education.
I will be a 2015 graduate of St. Dominic High School, located in Oyster Bay, NY. Representing characteristics such as leadership, motivation, determination and hard work have led to a success on and off the field. Even though I am one of the youngest players in my graduating class, hard work, discipline and dedication have driven me to succeed. Academically, I have excelled and challenged myself through honors and AP classes. I play two sports, participate in numerous activities at school, and was elected President of the Future Business Leaders of America. I am looking to pursue my dream of playing softball in college while at the same time identifying a school that requires a strong academic discipline.
