Personal Statement
I started playing baseball when I was four years old with my brothers (my oldest brother is now playing baseball in college and recently verbally committed to Nevada). I switched to softball when I was 10 and have been playing competitively ever since. I love competing and also enjoy playing volleyball and basketball. I play shortstop, but I can play anywhere on the field and I am very proud of my hitting. In 2014, I hit 29 home runs while playing with various teams. I want to compete in college and I am really excited about the recruiting process.
I made our Varsity Softball Team as a Freshman and was a starter on the team. I contributed both offensively and defensively and I set many goals for the season for both myself and my team. My goals were to hit at least .350, have an OBP of at least .500, hit multiple home runs, lead my team in RBI's, stay aggressive in hitting counts, and play great defense. Unfortunately, my batting average suffered after my bat broke in half. My numbers were not as good as I hoped but I was a great team mate and started almost every game.
I have really good arm strength, speed, hand eye coordination, fast hands, and a great understanding of the game. I am also a great team player and I always try to stay positive.
I also compete on the 18 Gold Nor Cal Strike Zone Team and attended various tournaments including the Colorado Sparkler and US Preps, where I was in the All-star Showcases.
I am taking several honors classes and hope to maintain at least a 3.75 GPA. I take athletics and academics very seriously and I look forward to what my future holds.
