Carly Bachna '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10 3rd basemen from Elyria, Ohio and will graduate with the class of 2016.

I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old, I started off playing Little League and started travel ball when I was 8 years old. I play Division 1 High School softball and I started 3rd base as a freshman. Our high school team has gone to State the past two years, we finished 2nd place my freshman year and 4th place my sophomore year.

For softball my freshman year I received Northeast Ohio Conference- All Conference, Northeast Ohio Scholar Athlete Award, Lorain County-All Conference, and Elyria High School Underclassman Award and a Varsity Letter. My sophomore year I received Northeast Ohio Scholar Athlete Award, and Elyria High School 2nd year award. I have also played volleyball since 7th grade. My freshman year I made the freshman team, my sophomore year I made the JV team and this year I lettered for Varsity.

I would like to attend a larger college where I can get a degree in the field I want and also help the softball team be successful in any way possible. One of my goals would be to play for the SEC or the BIG 10 but I am open to other opportunities. I am currently thinking about going into the field of Criminology and I have thought about the field of Pediatrics.

Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process as my family will have high need.
