Highlight VideoFrom the time I was very young, I have always been very active and involved in sports. My parents allowed me to participate in every sport that I wanted to try, and there wasn't much that I did not play. Although I played many different sports, I fell in love with softball. I found out how much I really loved softball when I fractured my left elbow when I was eleven; It forced me to miss the remainder of my summer season. I also learned how difficult it can be to come back from an injury, it was two weeks before I was able to straighten my arm completely after having my cast removed. I have continued to play volleyball, basketball, and to run track in junior high, but my passion is softball. On the diamond, I feel like I have the speed, athleticism, and versatility to make a team better. I try to play fearlessly and with passion.
I feel that playing multiple sports has helped me to become a more well rounded athlete. I play the point guard position in basketball, I am the setter on my club volleyball team, and I run the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and I long jump during track. Last year, I played every position but pitcher, catcher, and first base for my club softball team.
I love to compete in everything that I do, and that includes in the classroom. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I am taking high school math and science classes while in junior high. I previously tested as gifted in math and was a participant in our gifted program. My goal is to find a college that is a good fit for me academically, athletically, and socially. My parents have had discussions with me about choosing a college. I have decided that I am willing to go out of state, and not be limited by distance. For now, I am looking forward to the upcoming season with my club team and the start of high school. It has been way too long since I have seen my teammates, I can't wait to get this season started!
