Personal Statement
Hi.
My name is Madison Doseck and I am a senior at Wapakoneta High
School this upcoming school year. I graduate in 2021. I've been playing softball
since tball level and I am very passionate about the sport. I am a two sport
athlete, while maintaining a 3.9 GPA with honors classes. I also bowl but
bowling is something that I don’t have to pursue in college. I also work at our local McDonalds part time. It’s always been my dream to play college softball. I am hardworking and driven. I will put in the
work that is needed both physically for the sport and academically for the
profession I am pursuing. Teamwork and accountability is important to me. I
feel being accountable to my teammates and my coaches is my number 1
priority.
I am a 2 year Varsity player for my high school team and was recognized on third
team all WBL in our conference. Although most of my experience on the field is
at 3rd base for my high school team as a sophomore I was the starting shortstop.
Being the starting shortstop was intimidating but it was where my team needed
me. Although I had never played shortstop before I gave 100% and as the season
progressed, I progressed and improved with every game. At the end of the season
I was awarded the Golden Glove Award by my teammates.
For my summer travel team I am a 3rd year player for the North West Ohio Lady Buckeyes where I play 3rd base and on occasion catch.
I am looking for a college where I could play softball and become a Certified
Nurse Practitioner. I am open to any level of college play as well as any where
in the United States.
As for my bowling career, I have been bowling since I was 5 years old. I have been
a starting varsity anchor bowler for every match as a freshman and sophomore. I
have received multiple awards that include 1st and 2nd team all WBL in our
conference. Girls high series, girls high average and 15th in the state of
Ohio.
